Sea of Cortez .... Have you ever touched a whale shark?

This morning we got up, pre-packed, had some breakfast before heading to the Marina to meet Luc.

After a quick coffee, the lines were let off as Luc drove the boat in a northerly direction in search of the whale sharks. After half an hour or so we were given the opportunity to jump overboard and see how close we could get ..... Which turned out to so close that we could touch one of these massive creatures as he swam beside us.

Exciting as it was, the time had come to return to shore as the wind was building and lunchtime was approaching.

Dining at a beachfont restaurant was so relaxing that it would have been too easy to waste away another afternoon ... And miss the ferry???

Four o'clock however saw the bikes and van securely parked in the hold of a former French ferry....

Relaxing in one of the reclining chairs we wait for the 6pm departure from the Baja peninsular ........ 12 hours to cross the sea of cortez to mazalan
