Wasting away in Mexico-ville

Long story... It starts at 7am doing 7.00am my mail over some breakfast... Hmmmm .....sooooo easy...

9.10am immigration office to "simply drop off our duly completed and signed forms with bank receipts attached for $25 fee and $100 penalty". Wrong!!! Get your ticket, and await your turn. After an hour or so and some revisions to the forms we were released .... Told to come back in an hour or so to pick up our tourist card!!!

1130 feeling somewhat exuberant, we cruised to walmart, autozone, and home pro ..... Fully armed with new wiper blades, USB cables, and ratchet straps we returned to immigration before their 1pm deadline

1230... With our tourist cards securely tucked away and a smile on our face... We drove back to our hotel to pack our belongings, load up the van.... And have some lunch by the pool....

1345 we left the hotel.... Van suspension on the bump stops.... Headed for the ferry terminal

1410... Filling out more forms so we could "temporarily import" our vehicles..... After parting with nearly $2000 between us, more forms, more disclosures we were given our windscreen stickers... Receipts to front at the exiting border for a refund...

Meantime it seems that there was a drug bust at the terminal yesterday.... And at one stage all men were told to line up along the wall ... And asked for ID etc by the military....Gilbert must look like a argentinian as he was asked if he was from there. I just stuck to my guns and reiterated the kangaroo Australia association.... With automatic rifles aplenty I decided against emulating a kangaroo jump..

1600.. Still in time to buy our tickets for the ferry, we took off to the ticket booth now that we had every permit imaginable ..... Oops... No more places on the ferry?????

2032pm... We are now at the tailhunter bar having digested our prawn tacos, sipping a mango margarita, looking out over the yachts anchored out on the inky bay..

Only a few days ... A little bit of time wasting in Mexico-ville never hurt anyone did it??

How about another mango margarita?
